The Brief
Our client wanted a calming and restful en-suite bathroom to create a feeling of balance and equilibrium when she is getting ready for the day ahead.
The Plan
The Design
A large wall hung double vanity unit with drawers for storage formed the focal point of the new design. This was complemented by a large mirror with ambient lighting. The existing curved shower enclosure was replaced with a roomy rectangular walk in shower with minimal frames. The new shower echoed the elegant shape of the vanity unit and mirror, to create a cohesive flow in the room. The toilet was re-positioned to be closer to the wall. This makes the room feel more spacious, and also ensures that the WC is not the first thing the eye is drawn to as you enter the room. 2 niches were added to the shower to give streamlined storage for showering products. We also installed underfloor heating, charging sockets for electric toothbrushes and an illuminated magnifying mirror.
Our client chose a beautiful decorative wall tile in the shower area, which combines soft muted tones with a lovely brushed effect, perfect for creating a soothing space. A subtly textured soft white tile was used on the other walls, along with a co-ordinating large square floor tile.
The Final Transformation
